Pray!

Greetings to you and Happy New Year! I hope everybody reading this note has started their new year with blessings. I am so blessed, but I started my new year with coughing, aching, sneezing… There are so many things I am thankful for as I look back to 2011. In January, we (South Sudanese) voted (first time ever) for separation from the north to form a new nation. In July, prayers were answered and South Sudan got her independence. So much change has happened in South Sudan and will continue as God grows us for His glory. While our new country is working hard to build a strong foundation, we are still facing much oppositions and challenges. Along the borders there are constant attacks from the north causing much instability. Our brothers and sister in the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and the southern Korodofan are experiencing political persecution like never before. So many refugees, both Christians and Muslims, are running to South Sudan for safety. This has increased the food shortage and brought back visions and memories of the suffering that have taken place for so many years. This has caused much unrest for us as a nation. Please pray for the people in South Sudan as they share the love of Christ with each other and new refugees.

Last November, Four Corners Ministries, led a team to South Sudan on a mission trip. My brother, Yancy Carpenter, was able to see my grandfather and a get a recorded message from him. This was a beautiful Christmas blessing to me. I have listened to my sweet 86 year old Baba’s voice message and prayers over and over. As the clock is ticking, our time hear in United States is coming down and I can smell the dirt of Mundri as my heart and mind prepares to go home. I am very excited and looking forward to share Christ and start microbusinesses to help build South Sudan.

We are registered and will start classes on Jan 9th knowing that God will provide for our every need as He has done faithfully in the past 3 years. We are still in need of funds to complete this semester of school. Therefore, I am asking for each of you to share our story and this newsletter with your friends, family, on Facebook, websites, churches, etc. Also consider scheduling speaking engagements, gatherings or meetings for fundraising.

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"

Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed Thy hand hath provided "Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!

Our God reign and rule!
